Three Stunning Golf Courses All Golfers Should Visit

By Phillip Adams-Wright

Golf is a wonderfully relaxing game but can also become very stressful and competitive when you want it to be. Many golfers enjoy the challenge of besting their performance on a local course whereas others prefer to gain experience on a wide range of course worldwide. It is true that outside of the UK there are many golf courses with stunning backdrops such as the crystalline Caribbean Sea or the desert dunes in Dubai or Southern California.

Below are just three golf courses selected for their beauty as well as the challenge it provides for the golfers that play a round there. We may not be able to tick off all of them on the list in our time but visiting just one of them can provide a world class golfing experience.

The Ocean Course – Kiawah Island, South Carolina, USA
The Ocean course is set on the beautiful Atlantic coast resort of Kiawah Island Golf Resort. If you’re looking for a challenging links course then The Ocean is ideal, the course is set on a dedicated leisure resort so after a long day on the course you can return to the hotel for spa treatments and dine in one of the many dining rooms available at the resort.

Pebble Beach – Monterey, California, USA
On the opposite side of the USA is the famous Pebble Beach. Obviously a famous championship course on the Pacific Coast in California not many people are aware that Pebble Beach is not a private course and so you could get a game if you book early for a tee time. This year’s US Open will be at Pebble Beach so you may have to wait for the buzz to die down or better yet, have a trip out to watch the spectacle itself!

The Old Course @ St. Andrews – Fife, Scotland, UK
The Old Course at the ubiquitous golfing resort St. Andrews will also be busy this year as The Open will be played here this year, after last year’s tournament at Turnberry the Old Course is bound to draw a lot of visitors and golfers this year and booking a tee time isn’t nearly as complicated or restrictive as you’d think.

These three are going to be big favourites this year the last two in particular as the golfing world turns its attention to them as the tournaments held there will no doubt spark many golfer’s interest!

If you’re after a good deal on golfing then consider golf insurance to save money on anything from liability to lost clubs. 2 for 1 golf offers can cut down your green fee costs too.
