    Former South Carolina men's golfer Wesley Bryan notched his second straight top-five finish in his rookie season on the PGA Tour, as he tied for fourth at the 2017 Honda Classic. Sophomore Scott Stevens was stellar again, shooting 68 (-4) on the final day to finish tied for second.

    South Carolina is in seventh place after day one of the 2017 All-American Intercollegiate presented by Coca-Cola. The Gamecocks, who finished Friday at 1-over, were one of 12 teams unable to finish the opening round due to a weather delay that lasted nearly three hours. Play was suspended Friday night due to darkness.
